Our Mission Statement, adopted in November 2006:

Hudson Development Corporation (HDC) is a non profit Local Development Corporation (LDC) established to seek out and undertake projects that promote and enhance the business environment in the City of Hudson. To this end HDC will seek funding opportunities on all levels to improve the infrastructure and physical business environment in the City of Hudson. HDC will promote and assist current businesses and provide opportunities and assistance to attract new businesses.

Projects and goals for 2010 (and beyond) are:

• Publish essential information (print and online) to support industry and tourism in the city.

• Provide grant writing services and funding to support and advance the Washington Hose Firehouse project, including a micro-enterprise grant in support of a "push cart economy" at the site.

• Apply for a DHCR Main Street Program grant to enhance the area below 3rd street.

• Act as lead administer of the $250,000 capital project grant for dockage development at the Hudson Riverfront Park.

• Financially assist the greater Hudson business community with radio ad exposure.

• Sponsor Arts Walk, Winter Walk, Flag Day and any other worthy event that promotes Hudson.

• Provide assistance, through the open round grant process, to businesses seeking funds from the NYS Office of Community Renewal.

Hudson Development Corporation is closely aligned with the Hudson Community Development and Planning Agency (HDCPA – formerly, the Urban Renewal Agency.) See the HDCPA mission statement, performance goals, and member list.
